History

My interest began with the book Forever Amber written by Kathleen Windsor in the 1940's which chronicled the return of King Charles II to England and his taking over the throne. The description and the King's love for the little dogs was fascinating to me. When I was living in Binghamton NY I saw for the first time real live cavaliers  and was overwhelmed by how beautiful they were. I got my first one in 1985 when I bought a home in Spring, Texas (near Houston) . I bred her, had puppies and was totally hooked.   I bought another girl (tri) from Janet Beck and she is the foundation of all the dogs I have now. She is 12 years old and an active happy girl. I have bred my girls to the best stud dogs around for health, soundness and beauty. I am very fortunate to live in Texas where some of the very best boys are. My 12 year old is the mother of my first champion, Ch Lovejoy Black-Eyed Susan. Her sire is Ch Redthea Daniel of Rattlebridge. She in turn is the mother of a champion finished last year, Lovejoy Stardust. Her sire is Ch Pinecrest Naughty By Nature. I breed for show so I do have beautiful dogs. My champions are all homebred. All my breeding stock have heart and eye certificates tested yearly and hips at age 2. Every dog is raised in my home.
